We never thought we needed a backpack for our dog… until we got one. Now we use it almost daily. Why? Keep reading to find out.

In this blog we’ll review OneTigris backpack for dogs, which we have been testing out.

What is OneTigris?

If you haven’t heard about them before, then OneTigris has been making high quality and tactical-styled gear for different outdoor activities. Their products are designed for durability, functionality and adventure for both, military style operations, but also everyday outdoor enthusiasts and animal lovers.

They combine innovative design with practical use, ensuring that their gear is reliable and also versatile.

Why use a dog backpack?

So, before we head into the pros and cons, let’s talk about why would you buy your dog a backpack -

• for fashion?

• because it looks cool?

• because your dog can carry its own stuff?

Actually, from a dog trainer’s perspective, using a backpack like this OneTigris that we also got, can be very beneficial for the dog AND for you. It helps tire your dog out and it adds a sense of purpose to your walk, helping to “burn off” extra physical and mental energy.

In addition, carrying a backpack improves your dog’s muscle strength and endurance, contributing to a healthier and overall more balanced dog.

Pros and cons

When it comes to dog backpacks, they have a pretty good variety and they also have extra pouches you can purchase if needed. We decided to get their Camelus Dog Pack, in coyote brown.

At first we really didn’t think too much about it. But when we actually got it and after testing it out, we actually liked it a lot - let’s see why.

What we liked…

• The quality 😯 - they really don’t lie about their high quality products. It’s water- and tear- resistant, which is perfect for dogs and outdoors.

• Storage versatility - we loved that you can choose, how you want to use the pouches: some weight (sand) or just some dog items (poop bags, treats, little water bottle etc).

• Extra pouches - with their MOLLE system, you can easily attach some extra pouches if needed, but not for all models.

A few cons…

• The style - if you want a cute looking backpack for your dog, then you gotta look elsewhere. OneTigris makes more military/army style packs.

• Actual storage - if you’re planning to use it as an actual storage on a hike, not just as an extra weight, then the pouches won’t actually fit a lot.

Surprisingly, we don’t actually have anything else bad to say about this OneTigris backpack. If you are someone, who likes cute or special designs, then you will most likely not find it here.

But on the other hand - the style isn’t ugly by any standards. It has that health trails / hiking feel, which actually works really well. 😎

The verdict

I think by now you know that we’re gonna say that we REALLY like this OneTigris Camelus Dog Pack. Our Husky is energetic and giving this little extra weight or letting her carry some dog essentials, has been really good for her.

We see the contentment in her eyes after a walk or a small hike, which makes us happy as well! And by the end of the day, isn’t it every dog owners goal to have relaxed, happy and chill dog.

It is an absolute YES! by Pocket Puppy School.

Whether you are a regular owner who has an energetic dog, or you are a hiking enthusiast, definitely give it a go.

It will add some extra challenge to your walks, it’s a practical dog backpack for dog essentials. And it also works as a high quality hiking gear for your four legged hiking buddy. It’s worth every penny.
