Our updates: October 2023

Hey there, Ki here, the creator of Pocket Puppy School, writing a short summary of the most interesting things that we’ve done in recent times.

I’m quickly going to go over many different platforms and showcase what’s up.

Oftentimes, it might seem like things are moving slow, but if you look at all of things we are doing across the board, then you’ll see that a lot is happening.

App

  • Blog articles

We write many “niche” articles here as well - it’s a shame to let them go to waste if somebody is coming to the app to search for said key information.
Well now, we use the blog’s API to also show you if we have anything here. Hopefully it will help some people get the answers they are looking for.

Other updates:

  • Redid the place lessons - higher quality

  • App is now full screen - content fits better

  • Started using specific fonts - clearer style

Social media

  • 30 days of tricks

We did a fun 30 days challenge - every day a different trick!

We definitely recommend checking it out and trying out some of the tricks that you haven’t tried before and blowing the dust off of tricks you haven’t used in a while.

What other people wrote about us

  • 5 star reviews

Our app is still greatly rated. 5 stars on the Apple store and 4.8 stars on the Play Store.

Here’s our favourite one from recent times - just glad to happily surprise someone. 😊

  • How to stop dog pulling by Hilary.
Hilary is a great dog-mom, who we trained with. She is going through all of the goods and bads of pet ownership, that all new owners go through.
We talked about pulling in our training session as well, and she wrote a great article about it as well. The only hard part - is being consistent and actually doing it every day.

  • New Dog Owner’s Checklist for a new home.

Bringing a new dog into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience, but it also comes with a responsibility to ensure their well-being and happiness. Having the right items is crucial to make this transition as smooth as possible. These items cater to their basic needs and foster a safe and successful environment for your new companion. To help you get started, Redfin reached out to experts, including us, to highlight 15 essential items you should have when bringing a dog home for the first time. So whether you’re renting an apartment in Valparaiso, IN, or living in a house in Prescott, AZ, be sure to check out The New Dog Owner’s Checklist: 15 Essential Items You Need When Bringing Home a Dog to help you prepare for the arrival of your new four-legged family member.

And that’s everything I could think of right now.

Let us know if we missed something or if you have any questions about anything that we did!
