What can dogs eat?
Omnivorous scavengers in the wild
In the wild, dogs eat what they find.
They eat everything ranging from plants to meat.
Dogs can eat things like: cheese, wieners, rice, fish, popcorn, rice and some other things.
The list of possible foods in the world would take days to look up, so we’ll stop here.
Not the same as in the wild
Foods that are definitely poisonous to dogs are: chocolate, spices, avocado, grapes, a few nuts and some other things. Again, the list of poisonous food items go on and on, so just keep in mind to look it up, before giving some of your own food to your pup.
But even “normal” things from our food plate can be damaging to dogs, if consumed in large amounts.
Keep it simple
Here is a guaranteed method of keeping your dog safe, when it comes to food:
If you don’t know, then it’s a no.
So, whenever you have the question of “Should I give it to my dog?”, then just say no and throw the food away.
By avoiding human food all together, then not only are you guaranteeing a long and healthy life for your dog, but you’re also making sure that you won’t have to spend a lot of money at the vet, because of some random food related health problem.
So focus your energy on finding the most delicious dog food you can find. They are specifically made for dogs - they are safe to consume and they take care of all of your dog’s nutritional needs.
And if you ever feel like you don’t treat your dog enough - go to amazon and buy the most luxurious treats you can find. Your dog will love these even more!
